How it Works
After being accepted into the program, you will get an orientation to home care and Bayshore. During the first six weeks of our CHW Training Program, you will be required to attend mandatory virtual classes with a qualified instructor with our college partner and Bayshore staff. Followed by a minimum of 80 hours of on-the-job training with experienced personal support services staff who will work with you on a one-on-one basis to grow your confidence and skills. For the next three months, with the support from your branch team, you will continue to build your skills working on your own as a CHW in your community.
The many benefits of the CHW program and working with Bayshore:
- Tuition costs are paid by the program
- Get paid while you learn
- Immediate employment with Bayshore
- Benefits and matching RRSPs program for full-time employees
- Vacation
- And More…
